LIGHT SUSSEX LARGE FOWL HATCHING EGGS
These birds are slightly lighter in weight than the old fashioned chunky light sussex, they also lay a pale brown eggs not a cream one. The egg production has been increased these birds will now lay far more than the other type of Light Sussex. You can expect to get around 280 eggs a year from these birds when fed a layers pellet with 17% protein. Please do not give these birds corn the birds will become fat and not lay so well if they do not have the correct protein level in the diet. Corn is only a maintenance food for hens containing 10 or 12% protein.
